A Few Things for 2012
I don’t really have resolutions so much as just ways of life. But maybe they are the same thing.
1. Read at least one ebook. I mean cripes I have an ipad (best wedding gift ever!) and I have yet to read an ebook.
I just fear them. I know it’s an irrational fear. But what if I like them better than regular books. That would be a very sad day indeed.
2. Volunteer more.

Best Reads of 2011
I read some great books and I read a lot of really ok books. Here are my favorite reads of the year. These being the one’s I would recommend for everyone, not knowing your taste. They are in no particular order, except the first one. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot has been one of the most enlightening/controversial books I have read in a long time.

Going to build a warm fire and lay on the couch with Lucy.
Husband is going out for a big night on the town with best friend.
They are going out for Indian food. Seriously, this is going out for them.

looking at everyone’s posts about how much fun (insert sarcasm here) they are having with their families….
makes me really happy I told my mom there was no way in hell I was going to her house for xmas
Last night I woke up really sick. I was going to lie on the couch and watch some Netflix.
That didn’t go down though. I let Lucy out and was walking down two stairs to get some water and I slipped and fell hard. Onto my left arm, it hurt so bad I couldn’t even scream out. Lucy looked at me and started licking me, prompting me to get up.
This morning my arm hurts, but is better....

My Breasts as a Public Commodity
I am small woman, all 5’2 of me and was blessed with large breasts. I will put it out there, my breasts are 36D’s. They are huge. And I am not a large woman. My weight fluctuates between 125-132 pounds. I got down to a low of 120 right before my wedding and guess what, nope my boobs did not shrink.
And you know what, I want a breast reduction.
And no, if I lose weight, my breasts...

I went to the doctor yesterday for some check up stuff and I did the horrifying weight check.
Granted it’s xmas time and I am having my period. But the number I saw was so not cool to me.
My husband and I have started doing yoga together because he’s needs motivation to work out and it helps me stay on track.
Also I was going to eat healthier
But I just ate a damn good pumpkin...

I’m not in HR, but I don’t think that is legal for them to require you to be Christian…
I thought it would be illegal too. But if you look up the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the policy is legal. Many have tried to fight it. It’s crazy that it can be legal, but it is. In fact the law states

Depends how annoying Christians are to you. I love God and all, but dammit some of them get on my nerves with all their Christian lingo and close-minded bullcrap. But then you never know, you could work with some really sweet and cool people.
Honestly, I don’t have a problem with the majority...

That would be awful to fake on the daily. and how do you “prove” youre a christian? I mean do they expect your to martyr yourself as a job pre-rec?
I have to provide three references, two professional and one from a spiritual/pastoral reference. That is basically how they “prove” you are a...

I haven’t ever gotten a Christmas bonus.
Really? That surprises me because you work for a rather large organization. I worked for one company for 4 months before xmas and the boss still gave me $100. I am totally appreciative to have a job, but then again, I am very underpaid and overused. I do things that...

WHAT IN THE GOOD GRACIOUS LORD!?!?! Does your boss have a boss to whom you can send this email and say you are feeling very uncomfortable at work because of her inappropriate candidness?

I dislike labels. I am a trained Sociologist by trade and labels for me create distinct boxes or categories. When I get labelled, I feel like I my movements are constricted, that I don’t have options. The most common labels I have right now are woman, white, alcoholic. These binary categories make…

Not Trying to Offend Anyone
But I think I would be perfectly happy being a housewife.
I would go to coffee with the girls.
Volunteer at numerous organizations.
Read.
Play with my dog.
Cook, a lot.
And I don’t think I would ever get bored.
Now I just need to convince my husband to go to graduate school for something that will make us rich!
wayfaringmd asked: Hey there! I'm your Tumblr Readrs Buddy! I just wanted to let you know that I'll be sending a package your way this week! And I'm actually sending you two books, so get excited!
